In this study, frequencies, percentages, arithmetic averages, and the statistical packages program (spss) were used. To achieve the objectives of the study, the researcher built a list of metacognitive skills, which includes three main metacognitive skills and (16) sub-skills derived from them, and after making sure of their validity and stability. It was used as a criterion for analysis and then extracting results that indicate the need to formulate questions that develop the learners' scientific thinking ability and help them develop deep learning. The study reached a number of recommendations and proposals to complement the results of the study.
