Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this study is to find out the effect of teaching based on cooperative learning of the type (Think-Pair-Share) in improving the speaking skill in the Arabic language. The study follows the experimental approach with a semi-experimental design. The statistical population for this study consisted of Arabic language students at the Teachers Training University in Hormozgan Province in the academic year 1400-1401. The sampling method was divided into experimental and control groups, using pre-measurement before conducting the experiment, and post-measurement after conducting the experiment to detect the effect of the independent variable. The study sample consisted of (58) students, the experimental group consisted of (29) students using the (TPS) strategy, and the control group consisted of (29) students using the traditional method. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences in favor of the experimental group, which was studied using the (Think-Pair-Participate) strategy in each of the communication skills. The study recommended that students should be encouraged to apply the method of "think - pair - share" in call lessons to develop their oral communication skills and to be more self-confident.
